Where is 16 Mile Cellar?
On a single estate at 3555 Eleventh Street in Lincoln, Ontario, in the Creek Shores corner of the Niagara Peninsula. Every grape is grown, picked, made, and bottled on the same site.
Do I need to make a reservation?
No. We are open Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 4pm, and you can walk in. If you would rather have the table to yourselves, please book a table or call ahead.
Can we come visit during the week?
Often, yes. Write to us and we will usually find a way. We do, excluding harvest season, offer a wine tasting with our winemakers on Fridays. They like a long conversation at the table.
How long does a tasting take?
Between 45 and 60 minutes.
How many of us can you seat?
Six at a table. We are happy to make room for a bigger group, so write to info@16milecellar.com and we will arrange it.
Can we bring the dog?
Yes. Bear in mind that this is a working farm, so there is machinery about and things going on.

Where do you ship?
Across Ontario. A few rural routes cost a little more, so write to us first and we will sort it.

The wines
What grape varietals do you grow?
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay, all on our own farm in Creek Shores VQA. Nothing goes into the bottle that we did not grow here.
Where is Creek Shores?
A small appellation in the Niagara Peninsula, on 16 Mile Creek at the foot of the bench. Every grape we use comes from here.
What’s the story behind the wines’ names?
Most wineries name a wine for the ground it came from. We name ours for how they behave. Rebel is impatient. Renegade goes its own way. Civility keeps its manners. Incivility does not.
